Aaron, this is an interesting topic. Your standard were clearly stated. I like the essential questions you included. Maybe add a couple more that keeps the students thinking past a direct answer to keep discussion going. In the Acquisition part, what other skills are needed. Is there a breakdown of steps that develop into knowing the Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium equation? Just a thought and I hope that makes sense. Good start on your stage 1.
I like your project Aaron. I do think that you need to add more details to a few of your sections, specifically to your "Understandings" and "Essential Questons" sections. I like your idea as a whole but I do believe fleshing out a few more details will help make it better as you go forward.
Aaron, I agree with Mirasol and Jamie's comments and I think you are off to a good start. The only other thing I would add is how this information is relevant in the real world. I struggle with this section too.
